WestSide Sports Club · Burbank
Complete players.
Complete people.
Real training for preteens and teens who love the game, where skills, mindset, and character level up together. Younger players are always welcome.
Our Philosophy
We don't just build better players. We build better people.
Being a complete player means more than skills. It means knowing how to handle adversity, how to calm yourself down, how to play as a team, how to make the right decision and be confident in it. We train all of it: the skill work and every intangible behind it.
Whether your child has the potential to go professional or carries the game's lessons into the rest of life, we want them holding the right tools: how to lead a team, how to be part of one, how to be coachable, even how to handle the spotlight. Sports is an analogy for life, and that's exactly how we coach it.
Founded by an Ivy League Division 1 athlete and wellness entrepreneur, WestSide quantifies all of it into levels, discrete skills, and character cards, then builds a roadmap for where your child wants to go.

Seven Pillars
Every session trains the whole athlete.
Basketball is the vehicle. Growth is the destination. Each day at WestSide moves through pillars that build the body, the mind, and the character together.

Mindfulness
Envisioning, intention setting, body scanning, breathing, meditation.

Energizing
Tai Chi, Qi Gong, KOT, yoga.

Physical
Dribbling, passing, shooting, movement, strength, conditioning.

Nutrition
Experience food as medicine.

Academics & Leadership
Schoolwork and the history of winning on and off the court.

Creativity
Express your passion for basketball through media.

Challenges
Personal, team, and group challenges.
Mind + body + character
The combination is the point. It's what makes WestSide a real club, not just a gym.
A Day at WestSide · 90 minutes
A session with a rhythm.
Every clinic follows the same friendly arc: center the mind, energize the body, drill the skill, then play. One block hands off to the next, start to finish.
Skills from every block are tracked for members on the app and website.
The Talent Deck · Achievements
Every level earned is a card they keep.
WestSide turns growth into a collection and a roadmap. Kids set goals and choose what to work on next; coaches award cards when the trait is truly displayed; and parents, coach, and the app share one picture of what to practice at home.
Earn it
No participation trophies. A coach awards a card only when your player truly shows the skill or the character trait.
Collect it
Level by level, track by track, their deck grows. 40 cards, from first dribble to Champion.
Show it
Kids open the app and see everything they've earned. Something real to be proud of, and to show the family.

Proudly Californian. Proudly Angeleno. Proudly American.

Kids of every background, one home court. That's the California story, and it's ours too.
Safety First
A program parents can trust.
Whole-person development starts with keeping kids safe: on the court, in their bodies, and online.
Beat the heat
Outdoor courts get warm. Players bring a full water bottle, we take shaded breaks, and sessions adjust on high-heat and poor-air-quality days.
Safe pick-up, every time
Only people on your authorized-pickup list can collect your child. Coaches check in and check out every player, every session.
Speak up, always
If something hurts or doesn't feel right, tell your coach right away. Being tough means taking care of yourself and your teammates.
Head safety
Any bump to the head gets checked. When in doubt, we sit players out. No game is worth it.
Fuel your body
Come with a snack and water. Food is medicine, and how you fuel is part of how you play.
Good sports online too
We only share photos and videos of players whose parents have given consent, and we teach kids to be kind and careful online.
